Silent Auction to Support the UNC Critical Incident Stress Management Program
Help support the UNC Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Program through our silent auction! Everyday, healthcare workers face incredibly challenging situations which takes a toll on a person's well-being. The Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) Program is designed to provide a comprehensive, systematic means of mitigating stress related to critical incidents which involve health care workers.
CISM trained volunteers, who are UNC Health employees, meet with team members directly involved in a emotionally traumatic events to talk about what occurred, their feelings about the event, and discuss coping skills needed to recover from the related stress. CISM is a facilitative process not intended to replace counseling. The CISM program includes education, intervention, and referral. The process is designed to reduce and control harmful aspects of stress caused by the event.
Numerous baskets donated by partners from across the health system will be open for bid throughout the conference.
Awesome prizes donated by local restaurants and businesses will be raffled at breaks throughout the conference. At the end of the conference, two lucky participants will win a scholarship to one day of next year’s conference. All participants who are present will be eligible to win.
