The Friday Conference Center

With over 70,000 attendees and 650 programs per year, the Friday Conference Center is one of the premier conference facilities in the Southeast.  The Friday Conference Center combines the latest technology, architectural beauty, and personalized planning services.

The William and Ida Friday Center honors two North Carolinians who have devoted their lives to enhancing and improving the lives of their fellow citizens through their work in education, the arts, and public health. William C. Friday served as president of the University of North Carolina for thirty years, while his wife, Ida, has promoted the arts through her work with a number of North Carolina arts organizations.

Vendor Exhibition

Along with high-quality educational offerings, The May Day Trauma Conference also features vendor exhibitions where participants can learn about new and emerging technology and services in trauma care.  The vendor exhibition will be open before the conference, during breaks, and lunch.  Come learn and network with our partners who provide the material and services to take great care of trauma patients.

Silent Auction to benefit Trauma Survivors Network

Now a May Day tradition of over ten years, a silent aution will be held to benefit a worthy cause.   Conference attendees will have the opportunity to bid on some awesome baskets throughout the two days.

This year, the silent auction will benefit UNC's Chapter of the Trauma Survivors Network (TSN).  Created by the American Trauma Society in 2008,  the TSN was established to connect survivors, enhance skills, and build a supportive community. TSN focuses on connecting, educating, and empowering trauma survivors and their families, offering resources and advocacy for improved recovery.

So win an awesome basket and help rebuild UNC's Trauma Survivors Network Chapter.

Daily Giveaways

Awesome prizes donated by local restaurants and businesses will be raffled at the end of each day.  At the end of the conference, two lucky participants will win a scholarship to one day of next year’s conference.  All participants who are present will be eligible to win.

Tar Heel Trauma Merchandise

The Tar Heel Trauma Program will be offering some cool “merch.”  This year will be offering our popular Tar Heel Trauma yoga jackets along with other apparel.
