Poster abstracts are now being accepted for the 36th Annual UNC May Day Trauma Conference. Abstracts will be selected based on the following criteria: defined purpose and goals, clear objectives, evaluation of data, clarity and clinical relevance to the care of the trauma patient. Accepted presenters must register for the conference for at least one day and stand by their poster during specified viewing times.
- Poster Categories: Topics must be related to:
- Clinical / Quality improvement
- Research
- Evidence-based practice
- Areas included are Pre-Hospital, Disaster, Emergency Services, Inpatient, Surgery, and Rehabilitation of the trauma patient
- Submission Instructions:
- Title should not exceed 75 characters
- Word Limit: No more than 3000 characters (including spaces)
- Format: Double-spaced, 12-point Arial font
- Deadline: April 1, 2025

- Discussion of Trauma Implications for Care

- Abstract Selection: Primary authors will be notified of acceptance decision by April 10, 2025.
- Poster Presentation: Authors of selected posters will be allowed entry to the conference by 7:15AM to mount their posters on their designated kiosk. If unable to attend the first day, conference staff will be able to post on your behalf.
- Poster competition: Conference attendees will be given the opportunity to cast one vote for their favorite poster. The primary author of the poster with the most votes will win a one-day scholarship for the next May Day Trauma Conference.
