SUMMARY:Pre-Hospital Competition
DESCRIPTION:UNC TarHeel Trauma Presents : 9th Annual Pre-Hospital Skills Competition\nApril 29\, 2026\nEach team should consist of two to three members with a minimum of one paramedic. Space is limited to six teams. \nFor additional information or to register\, please contact tarheeltrauma@unchealth.unc.edu no later than April 10\, 2026. \nA list of items for participants to bring will be sent out one month prior to the competition. Participants should supply their own personal items such as stethoscopes\, scissor pouches\, goggles/glasses\, and gloves. \nLast Year’s Winners\n1st Place: Surry County\n \n2nd Place: Person County\n \n3rd Place: Alamance County\n \nCompetition Guidelines: \nPerformance will be judged on practical skills and professionalism. Standing orders will be assumed for all interventions. The lead judge will answer questions during the scenario but will only repeat requested order/s even if incorrect. Equipment and supplies must be brought and provided by each team. SUMMARY:37th Annual May Day Trauma Conference
DESCRIPTION:Walk-in registration will be available each day ($40 walk-in fee applied). \nUNC Tar Heel Trauma is proud to present the 37th Annual May Day Trauma Conference on April 30 – May 1\, 2026\, at the Friday Center in beautiful Chapel Hill\, NC. May Day is a two-day conference carefully designed to meet the educational needs of the healthcare team across the continuum of trauma care. \nThis year’s conference follows the trauma continuum of care\, featuring topics on disaster preparedness\, pre-hospital care\, emergency medicine\, critical care\, acute care\, rehab\, and more. \nWe are also making a virtual option available to those that cannot attend in person. Check the agenda to see which of the presentations will be live-streamed. \nIn addition\, the conference also features other attractions such as a vendor exhibition\, poster presentations\, daily giveaways\, and a silent auction. \nThe May Day Conference is a great opportunity to learn\, network\, and have fun.
